Removing old cookies from your Cookie Manager

When the scanner detects cookies on your site, they are categorised and stored in your account. They can be found in the 'Cookie Management' tab of your dashboard.

This list keeps a record of all cookies previously found, even if those cookies are no longer present on your site.

This can sometimes cause confusion if you're expecting the list to automatically update or remove cookies that are no longer active. The reason we don't remove cookies automatically is because sometimes, our a cookie may not set for reasons out of our control. Given you need to provide you users with a list of ALL active cookies, we keep the cookie in your manager, just to be safe!

How to Remove Cookies from Your Cookie Manager

If you're sure the cookie is no longer active on your site and want to remove it from your list:

1. Open the Cookie Management tab in your dashboard.
2. Click on the name of the cookie you want to remove. This will open the cookie editor.
3. Delete the cookie using the delete option provided.

Once deleted, the cookie will no longer appear in your list after the next scan.
