Issues installing or registering WordPress Plugin

If you’re experiencing problems installing or registering our WordPress plugin, this guide covers the most common causes and troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

1. Check Firewall Settings

Some WordPress firewall or security plugins (like Wordfence, iThemes Security, etc.), as well as hosting providers and services like Cloudflare, may block external requests from our server.

Please whitelist our server IP address: 143.198.196.225

Check:

  • Your WordPress firewall plugin settings (look for blocked request logs)
  • Your web host’s firewall rules
  • Any rules set in services like Cloudflare or Sucuri

2. Try a Different Browser

If you’re using a privacy-focused browser like Brave, it may block requests to our server, as some of these browsers intentionally interfere with cookie consent or analytics-related services.

Please try one of the following:

  • Use a standard browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari
  • Or open your current browser in an incognito/private window, which may disable privacy extensions temporarily

If the issue disappears in another browser, you may need to adjust the settings or disable privacy features/extensions in your primary browser.

3. Temporarily Disable Browser Extensions or Security Software

Browser extensions can sometimes interfere with plugin registration or prevent our admin UI from functioning properly.

Try:

  • Disabling browser extensions (especially ad blockers, antivirus plugins, or privacy tools)
  • Using an incognito/private window
  • Testing in a clean browser environment

4. Double-Check Your Token

Make sure you’re using the correct registration or API token. Watch out for extra spaces at start or end when copying and pasting, and ensure you're using the correct token for the site if you have multiple compliance packs.

5. Check for JavaScript or Network Errors

Browser developer tools can help identify silent errors on your site.

To check for issues:

  1. Open your WordPress dashboard
  2. Press F12 or right-click → Inspect
  3. Click the Console tab and look for red error messages
  4. Open the Network tab and reload the page – look for any failed requests (status 403, 404, 500)

If you see errors, please share a screenshot or copy the error message to our support team.

6. Other Things to Check

  • Ensure your WordPress version and PHP version are up-to-date and compatible
  • Clear your site and server caches
  • Temporarily deactivate other plugins that might conflict, especially security or performance plugins
  • Ensure your server allows outbound HTTP requests (some local or staging environments block them by default)
  • If you are blocking content/requests by Geographical location, please ensure you whitelist our IP as per the instructions above.
